About Buluzo Foundation
The Buluzo Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit organization committed to securing the next generation—one adolescent at a time. Founded by Blessing Nwachukwu, the foundation was born out of a simple but urgent realization: in many parts of Nigeria, access to menstrual products and menstrual health education remains a privilege rather than a right.
Since its inception, Buluzo Foundation has worked to end period poverty, promote gender equality, and empower young people to take ownership of social change. Through our flagship project, the Menstrual Kit Bank, we have provided menstrual products and health education to over 1,358 girls across four states in Nigeria, ensuring that no girl misses school or loses confidence because of her period.
But our mission goes beyond distributing pads. We use participatory art, school outreach, and volunteer leadership programs to inspire empathy, awareness, and action. From creating menstrual health clubs in schools to training young community leaders under GenZ for Social Impact, we are raising a generation of socially conscious youth who are passionate about making a difference.

Buluzo changed my life!
Before I used tissue papers for my menstruation because it was much cheaper, but since Buluzo Fudation came to my school, I can just get pads from our period corner.

We believe that a person is first human before being male or female, and nothing within a woman’s physiology should limit her ability to learn, lead, or live with dignity.
Our work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Together with our volunteers, partners, and supporters, we envision a world where every girl can dream freely, live confidently, and thrive—period.
